Built
Star Sports BKK was founded in 2018 by Ivan Rock, a UK-trained PE teacher with 30+ years of coaching experience, including athletes at Olympic, FIFA World Cup and international level. We believe every child can love sport when it is taught well, and every adult can keep improving when given the right structure.

Our vision
Sport, taught with care and structure, builds confident young people. Our vision is to be the most trusted coaching partner in Bangkok - chosen by schools because we deliver, and chosen by families because their children come home happier and fitter.
Our mission
We deliver curriculum-mapped PE, after-school clubs, private coaching and holiday camps to a consistent standard, every session, every week. We invest in our coaches so the bar keeps rising.
How we work

Plan with the school
One named lead coach owns each relationship. We run an annual planning session with your PE Co-ordinator to map curriculum, age groups and key dates.

Deliver every week
Lessons, ECAs and private sessions delivered to a consistent standard. We send a weekly note per class on what we covered and what is next.

Show progress
Every term ends with a fixture, showcase or assessment so children see how far they have come, and parents see what they have learned.
Founder
Ivan Rock founded Star Sports BKK after a career that took him from grassroots PE in the UK to working with Olympic-level athletes. He still teaches more sessions a week than anyone else on the team, and he is the reason families come back term after term.
What sets Ivan's coaching apart is the discipline beneath the warmth. Every session has a structure: a clear objective, a progression, a small win that the child takes home. He is rigorous about plan, deliver, review - the loop that turns curious 7-year-olds into confident 12-year-olds.
Outside Star Sports BKK, Ivan leads on the GBAC All-Stars programme, where he coaches both the East and West basketball squads. The photos across this site come from those tournaments - real coaching, real children, no stock.
